Chashi Nazrul Islam (Bangla: চাষী নজরুল ইসলাম) is a Bangladeshi film director and producer. He was born in October 23, 1941 in Bikrampur, Dhaka.
Chashi's father was a service holder at Jamshedpur, India. Chashi always wanted to be a hero like Dilip Kumar. He often sold his own books, even stole friends' books to sell so he could manage money to watch movies. At the age of 16, his father died. He got a job at the office of his uncle, the auditor general of Pakistan. He was irregular in office. Instead, he was working on cultural programs. He was a member of theatre organisation Krishti Sangha.
After he got sacked from that job he started to perform in programs at radio in 1965. He directed and voiced popular radio dramas Ramer Sumoti (1965), Socrates (1966), Sokhina Birongona (1974) etc. Chashi started his career in visual media in 1964 when he got chance to work on television program through audition. He worked as assistant director of film Dui Digonto, directed by Obaidur Rahman. Later he assisted Fateh Lohani.
He participated in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. After Bangladesh got independence, he made the first film on liberation war Ora Egaro Jon.

Shakib Khan also Sakib Khan (Bengali:শাকিব খান/সাকিব খান ) is a Bangladeshi Popular film actor. His original name is Masud Rana. He made his acting debut in the film Annotho Bhalobasha though it did not grant him wide fame. He also starred in Amar Shopno Tumi, directed by Mizan, which was quite successful at the box-office. Khan is widely known around Bangladesh due to his superb skill in acting and dancing. He is one of the most successful actor in Bangladesh Film history. He has received many awards and acclamations. His hometown is Narayanganj.

Background
He was not known as “Shakib Khan”. when he first made his appearance in Bangladeshi Cinema. His original name is “Masud Rana”. From an earlier time he was enthusiastic about dancing and started taking dancing lessons. Besides dancing he is also skilled in martial arts. One day he came to FDC(Film Development Corporation) and fortunately met a photographer who took some pictures of him. The following day when Shakib went back to collect the pictures, one film director surprised him by offering the a protagonist role in a film. He made his debut in Shonor Rahaman Sohan's “Annotho Bhalobasha” in 1999.
